Community Life
St. Thomas is a parish that does “community” well! Through Communion we renew and re-member ourselves as the corporate Body of Christ. By our common lives we reinforce our bonds to one another, to Christ, and to His Church.

Parish Life

While the Worship Committee is responsible for our spiritual food, the Parish Life Committee is responsible for our physical feeding. A delicious continental breakfast is available on Sunday mornings. Dinner every Wednesday night, beginning at 5:45pm, is prepared and served by Tishia Fuller and other staff and volunteers. We also enjoy potluck dinners at various times throughout the year. Receptions following a funeral are available for any family.

The Parish Life Committee is a fun group, always interested in accepting new members who enjoy any facet of food service, from setting the table to cooking to flower arranging... Come join us!

Foyers

“Foyers” is a word for St. Thomas-style welcome and hospitality in a small-group, table fellowship setting. Groups of eight to ten meet in each other’s homes once a month to share dinner and conversation. The meeting place rotates among the members and everyone provides part of the meal.

Foyers is a place where participants are intentionally mixed together to allow new relationships to occur between folks who might not otherwise get to know each other. It’s also a place to deepen existing relationships. This is a long-lived and very successful program. This year, four groups of 43 people signed up to participate.

St. Thomas Readers Book Group

The St. Thomas Readers book discussion group is in its fourth year. It meets from September through May. The reading list has included classics, mysteries, and memoirs. We purchase our own books, or check them out from the library. We attempt to read books that raise questions of spirituality and ethical behavior. All are welcome!
