St. Thomas Hunger Walk/Run Team | St. Thomas Episcopal Church

St. Thomas is participating in Hunger Walk/Run 2022 in Atlanta on March 6th! You can support our mission to provide hunger relief by donating on behalf of our team. You can also join us either in-person or virtually by registering as a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church team.

Any youth or youth families that would like to participate in-person can join Taylor Mack for a Diocese of Atlanta EYC hosted breakfast and worship service (transportation will be provided).

Our team name is St. Thomas Episcopal Church and we are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta organization. To join our team, participants will need to go to the Hunger Walk/Run Website use the following steps to register:

Select Episcopal Community Foundation
Click Join a Team
Search for St. Thomas Episcopal Church
Click Join
Choose if they would like to walk in-person, run in-person, or participate virtually
Complete registration and pay fee ($25 to walk, $35 to run, and $30 for virtual

Please join us in supporting this important mission! You can help us reach our team fundraising goal by making a donation on behalf of the entire team or a specific team member. Or take the next step against hunger by joining our team in-person or virtually.

- Click on the button labeled "Donate Now" to the right.

- Fill out the donation form

To Join our Team and fundraise with us:

- Click the "Join Team" button to the right.
- Complete the registration process. Once done, you will have your own personal fundraising page that you can share with others to ask for donations on your behalf. Any gifts made directly on your behalf will automatically be credited to our team's overall fundraising totals.

We are named for the apostle Thomas, whose life was changed when he encountered the risen Christ. His confession of faith, “My Lord and my God,” is printed above our altar.

Like Thomas, we encounter the risen Christ in our life together and find our lives transformed. We invite you to worship, learn, and serve with us.

St. Thomas was founded in 1958 and is a congregation of about 400-600 people. A few folks have been here for a long time, but a lot of us are newcomers! Some of us grew up as Episcopalians, some of us came from other Christian traditions, and some of us have no religious background at all!

We invite gifts for our Continuing Faithfulness Capital Fund. Significant roof and HVAC maintenance will be needed in the next few years, as well as routine maintenance on the nave windows. We are building up this fund in order to be ready to address these needs as they arise. If you are able to make a gift above and beyond your annual pledge, consider giving to this fund.

The pet memorial garden is a garden for the remembrance of our beloved pets. It provides a permanent resting place for the pets who live on in our memories and in our hearts. It is a place to give thanks to God for the companionship of beloved animals and to commit ourselves to care for all of God’s creatures. Engraved bricks are arranged in the garden around the cross. Engraved bricks are available for purchase as a permanent way to remember your pet. The fee covers, the brick, installation of the brick, maintenance of the garden, and a donation to PAWS Humane Society of Columbus, Georgia.
