Gather

St. Thomas members love to be together. We gather to worship, learn, and serve. We gather at tables for meals and in circles for prayer. We gather to sing and to study, for fun and fellowship. Our purpose in gathering is to be strengthened for God's service. We gather in order to be sent.

St. Thomas Excursions

Beginning fall 2022, Rev. Roxane Gwyn is offering monthly opportunities for St. Thomas parishioners and friends to attend cultural, educational, and engaging events in the community together.

Wednesday Dinner

Make a reservation and join us! An entrée with two sides will be served from the kitchen, with vegetarian or gluten-free options available by reservation.

To reduce lines and crowding, water, cutlery, bread, and dessert are on tables. Tea or other drinks are on the buffet.

To help us plan adequately and reduce waste, reservations are required.

Meals are served on a "pay what …

Parish Groups

The most important ways St. Thomas parishioners connect with one another are through worshiping God, learning about our faith and the Christian life, and serving our neighbors. Here are additional ways to gather with other parishioners and get to know this community.

Parish Life Events

We often celebrate special seasons in the Church Year with intergenerational events. Favorites include the Visit of the Magi, Shrove Tuesday party, Easter breakfast, fall kick-off, Thanksgiving dinner, and Wassail Party.

Photos of recent events are in the slideshow below. St. Thomas members and friends enjoy being together for fun and formation!

Welcome I'm New Who We Are Joining St. Thomas

We are a church of loving, committed and searching Christians who value diversity and cherish the gifts of young and old alike. We welcome ALL God’s children into our sacramental community, respecting the dignity of every person as we are called to a ministry of reconciliation and inclusion. You are welcome here as God’s own.

Like the apostle Thomas, we encounter the risen Christ in our lives together and find ourselves transformed.

We invite you to worship, learn, and serve with us!

We know finding a church can be hard. We were all new to St. Thomas once, so let us tell you a little about ourselves.

We are named for the apostle Thomas, whose life was changed when he encountered the risen Christ. His confession of faith, “My Lord and my God,” is printed above our altar.

Like Thomas, we encounter the risen Christ in our life together and find our lives transformed. We invite you to worship, learn, and serve with us.

I'm New

St. Thomas was founded in 1958 and is a congregation of about 400-600 people. A few folks have been here for a long time, but a lot of us are newcomers! Some of us grew up as Episcopalians, some of us came from other Christian traditions, and some of us have no religious background at all!

Who We Are

It is easy to join St. Thomas as a member. Just tell us you want to belong, and we'll enroll you as a baptized member of the congregation. If you've never been baptized, contact Rev. Grace to schedule a time for Holy Baptism. We look forward to being in touch with you.

Contact Patty in the church office at [email protected] with questions.

2024 will be a memorable year for St. Thomas. We hope to complete a renovation of the nave which will make it possible for all to gather at the altar rail and for all to sing with the choir and serve in worship. We are making these changes because of our commitment to love EVERY person.

Be Good News

As we Love God, Love Every Person, and Learn and Serve Together, St. Thomas seeks to BE GOOD NEWS to our community - living the good news of God’s loving embrace and ongoing work to heal our broken world.

What part will you play in being good news in the life of St. Thomas over the next year?

When the Nave and Chapel of St. Thomas were dedicated in 1972, the congregation knew they had built a space for more than themselves.

They did this for future members of St. Thomas. This did this for the wider community. They did this for us and for all who will come after us.
