About Robin
Robin came to St. Thomas in January of 2025, after previously serving at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, LaGrange from 2021-2024, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Milledgeville from 2014-2018, and Christ Church, Episcopal, Macon from 2012-2014. She enjoys a range of responsibilities at St. Thomas, including playing piano and organ for worship services, accompanying the St. Thomas Choir, directing the St. Thomas Choristers, overseeing maintenance of the church’s three pianos and 82-rank Cornel Zimmer organ, and teaching music at St. Thomas Day School. Robin is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music with degrees in piano and organ performance, and a graduate of Mercer University with a masters’ degree in organ performance with a concentration in church music. She is a Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society member.
Her performance accolades include prizes in the Arthur Poister Organ Competition and the Albert Schweitzer Organ Competition, and solo appearances in venues including St. Louis’ Christ Church Cathedral, the Sheldon Concert Hall, the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta, Cleveland’s Trinity Lutheran Church, and twice at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She has performed solo piano concerti with the Washington University Symphony, the Webster University Symphony, the Belleville Philharmonic, the Alton Symphony, the University City Symphony, and the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra at Powell Symphony Hall. Robin studied organ with Jack Mitchener and John Near, and piano with Robert Shannon, Alvin Chow, Jack Winerock, Zena Ilyashov, and Marie Jureit-Beamish. Robin has been an active participant in and ofttimes officer in local guild chapters of the American Guild of Organists since 2016, and she was a presenter at the 2023 Southeast Regional Convention of the AGO.
Her proudest and most full time job is as a wife and mom. In addition to music and parenting, her life is full of pets, gardening, running, reading, and her children’s many extracurricular activities.
