Growing in Christ is a lifelong journey, shaped by worship, service, study, and prayer. At St. Thomas, we gather online and in person to learn together. Here are some of our adult formation offerings.
St.Thomas’ Prayer group, along with our congregation, remember all who ask for our prayers. Our Prayer Group meets on Monday mornings. At each worship service, we read aloud those known to the parish who request our prayers. When you request that a name be placed on prayer list that person’s name will be read aloud on three successive Sundays. Please contact us again with an update if this request needs to continue.
To add a request to our prayer list, fill out the form below. Indicate whether you wish for this person to be remembered by the prayer group privately or by the congregation publicly. Please respect confidentiality and be sure the person wishes to be remembered in our prayers.
9:30 - 10:20 am in-person in the church library and on Zoom We use this time each week to explore a variety of biblical, theological, liturgical, ethical, societal and spirituality issues, using shared leadership in short-term series or stand-alone sessions. Suggestions of topics or issues are always welcome.
These are offered periodically to introduce newcomers to St. Thomas and to the Episcopal Church.
These small groups (8 to 10 people) will meet weekly over ten weeks to discuss a video lesson prepared by Dr. Denny Clark. The series we are using this Fall is Transforming Questions, an exploration of questions of faith we all ask and how our understanding changes as we grow in Christian maturity. The goal is to deepen faith and build community. If you join a group, we ask that you make it a priority and try to attend almost every session. Groups will meet on Wednesdays (inside or outside, masked distanced), at other times during the week (chosen by the group), and on Zoom. We hope every St. Thomas adult will join a Journey Group. Sign up by completing the Ministry Pledge and indicate when you would like to meet.
