Growing in Christ is a lifelong journey, shaped by worship, service, study, and prayer. At St. Thomas, we gather often to learn together. Here are some of our adult formation offerings.

Sunday Mornings

A gathering to explore Christian teachings in church and society.

Wednesday Evenings

Wednesday Studies
Wednesdays, 6:45-7:45 PM, mid-August – mid-May
Fall 2019 offerings include Its All Greek to Me, a look at four important Greek words in the New Testment; an in-depth look into The Book of Common Prayer, and an opportunity to learn together with adults at Temple Israel.
Where the Wild Things Are
Wednesdays, 6:45-7:30 PM, mid-August – mid-May
Parents with children of all ages are invited to gather in the Parlor on Wednesday evenings for conversation about parenting today. Through new and classic children’s literature, we will explore topics such as faith and scripture, grief and loss, mindfulness, friendship, identity, and emotional health. Learn from other parents and leaders at St. Thomas and our community. Join this group as it forms this fall and shape what it becomes. Tuesday Study Group
2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 1:00
Recent Studies include Verna Dozier’s
The Dream of God,Jesus and the Disinherited by Howard Thurman, The Power of Love by Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, and Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi by Amy-Jill Levine.
Men’s Group Pub Theology
First Tuesday of each month, 7pm at Jarfly on 13th.
Pull up a chair. Have a beer. Converse with friends and strangers. Explore life and faith.
St. Thomas YA’s
This group for young adults meets two to three Sundays a month to live out the baptismal covenant together through prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and witness.
Prayer Group
Mondays at 11:30 in the Chapel
The group gathers weekly for quiet centering prayer and to pray for the congregation’s prayer list.
Saints and Sinners
First Friday of most months at 11:00
This group meets for Eucharist followed by lunch
